NURSE MANAGER (Gamma Knife)
Based in Leeds Salary negotiable
This is an exciting opportunity
to develop your existing skills and acquire new ones. Using state of the art technology, the Gamma Knife
service offers advanced treatment in the care of patients diagnosed with cancer and neurological conditions. The service is
delivered by an independent healthcare provider working in partnership with the NHS.
Working in a multi disciplinary
team including oncologists, neurosurgeons, radiologists, radiographers and physicists, an experienced nurse with management
abilities is required to lead and develop the stereotactic radiosurgery service (Gamma Knife). This is truly a hybrid
role, in so far as you will deliver hands on nursing care to Gamma Knife patients as well as being responsible for the management
and performance of the service.
It is likely that you will have some experience in oncology or be an experienced clinical specialist looking for exciting career
development. In any event you will enjoy both the management and hands on aspects of nursing. Previous experience of Gamma
Knife is not essential, training will be provided.
