OCEAN / DEEP SEA FORWARDER          

South West / Midlands / Scotland /South East UK  £negotiable

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Shipping Manager to join a highly regarded Forwarding company. The company demonstrates a superb track record of year on year growth and prides itself on its levels of customer service and expertise. As part of a planned expansion programme, they wish to appoint a sales oriented individual with Ocean Freight / Container Shipping knowledge.

Duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Ensure documents and freight are handled in line with company, statutory and customer requirements.
  • Liaison with shipping lines and overseas agents
  • Ensure first class customer service levels, handling freight and associated documents in a professional and profitable manner.
  • Operating with little or no supervision in an organised manner, maintaining strong customer relationships and developing new business.

The role is a developmental one, with the potential for excellent reward. It is likely that you will be working for or have worked for a leading Sea Carrier, have experience in both FCL and LCL Deep Sea container shipping. In all cases you will have strong interpersonal skills, coupled with commercial acumen and a full understanding of Shipping procedures, including customs clearance.
